About Us
Our team brings together educators and technologists from Stanford and MIT, united by a shared mission to reimagine how children learn to read.
Founder’s Story
Rumo was born from a personal place, I built it for my two CODA nieces. Working with them, I noticed something missing: every reading app on the market leaned entirely on phonics, with none taking a visual-first approach to help children draw meaning from text.
That gap felt wrong. I’ve always believed that language is learned through use, not rules.
